The Nemunas Delta: what to see near Šilutė

Nemunas Delta Regional Park
The park protects the river mouth where it meets the Curonian Lagoon. You will find nature trails, observation towers and a huge number of birds, especially during the spring and autumn migrations.
Rusnė
Lithuania's only town on an island, ringed by branches of the Nemunas. Stroll along the embankments and visit the ethnographic fisherman's homestead.
Ventė Cape
A peninsula in the Curonian Lagoon with a lighthouse and one of the oldest bird-ringing stations in Europe. In spring and autumn you can watch thousands of migrating birds pass through.
